Huoshan Huangya is produced in Dahuaping Town, Huoshan County, Anhui Province, and is one of the famous teas in China. The tea has a straight and slightly spreading shape, evenly arranged into flowers, resembling a sparrow tongue and a tender green hair. The aroma is long-lasting, and the taste is fresh, mellow, strong, and sweet. The soup color is yellow and green, clear and bright, and the leaf base is tender and yellow and bright.
Li Zhao of the Tang Dynasty listed Huangya as one of the 14 categories of tribute tea in his "Supplement to the National History". From the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Huoshan Huangya has been listed as a tribute tea throughout history.
According to the Tea Quality Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Huoshan Huangya has a total of 46 aroma components, and is also rich in amino acids, tea polyphenols, coffee and other biochemical components. It has the effects of reducing fat, reducing weight, protecting teeth and eyes, improving gastrointestinal function, and enhancing immunity. In April 2006, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for Huoshan Huangya.
Huoshan Huangya is currently produced in the areas of Dahuaping, Yaojiafan, and Taiyang River upstream of the Foziling Reservoir. Among them, the best quality Huangya is produced by the "Three Gold and One Wu", namely Jinji Mountain in Dahuaping, Jinzhuping in Taiyang, Jinjiawan in Zhufo An, and Wumijian in Yaojiafan. The Huangya production area is located at the northern foot of the Dabie Mountains, in the deep mountain area southwest of the county, and can be called the "mountain mountain mountain". This area is characterized by continuous peaks, heavy rocks stacked with cockroaches, high mountains and dense forests, numerous springs and long streams, winding three rivers (Sun River, Manshui River, and Shiyang River), and vast two rivers (Foziling Reservoir and Mozitan Reservoir). The annual average temperature is 15 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 1400 milliliters, and the ecological environment is superior.
Huoshan Huangya has delicate fresh leaves. Due to the cold highlands, the mining period is usually 3-5 days before the grain rain. The standard for picking is one bud, one leaf, and one bud, two leaves at the beginning. Yellow buds require good freshness of fresh leaves, and when fresh leaves are collected, they should be thinly spread to lose surface moisture. Generally, they should be harvested in the morning and processed in the afternoon, and then processed in the evening.
